Arya Vaidyan P. V. Rama Variar
Arya Vaidyan P. V. Rama Variar, who is the founder of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Cbe) Ltd , also a great physician, philosopher and philanthropist, established the AVP Ayurveda group in 1943, has dedicated itself to the promotion of Ayurveda in all spheres. Under his visionary guidance, the institution has grown and today comprises of several activities and concern.
OUR FOUNDER
PADMA SHRI P. R. KRISHNAKUMAR
Padmashri Dr. P.R. Krishnakumar was born in 1951 as the son of Arya Vaidyan P. V. Rama Variar, the founder of Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) LTD and Smt.Pankajam Rama Variar. His father, Aryavaidyan P.V. Rama Variar, had been the only son of Vaidya vichakshanan Mankulangara Kunjan Variar, a reputed Sanskrit scholar, poet and physician. P.V Rama Variar, after his tutelage with Vaidyaratnam PS Varriar of Kottakkal, established the Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) LTD in 1948.
He was the Chancellor of the Avinashilingam University and the Chairman of CARe Keralam (Confederation for Ayurvedic Renaissance - Keralam), a resource center involved in efforts to standardize the Ayurvedic medicines. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2009, for his contributions to Ayurveda and with the National Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Award in 2016.

SARANYA AYURVEDA HOSPITAL
The Saranya Ayurveda Hospital is a NABH Accredited authentic and traditional Ayurvedic treatment institution under the auspices of Aashirwad Health and Educational Trust, supported by The Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam & Research Institute, and The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Cbe) Ltd. The campus is located in Navakkarai, on Coimbatore – Palakkad Highway, in the foothills of Bouluvampatty ranges of the western ghats, bestowed with beautiful nature and clean air.
In our 66 room facility ranging from standard rooms to suits, we provide consultation with expert Vaidyas, traditional Kerala Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapies, Ayurveda diet prescribed by Physicians, Yoga, and other activities to patients.
AHET ACADEMY
Ayurveda, the knowledge system, which is in perfect harmony with the Indian thought process, does not aim at a mere cure of the disease, instead, it looks to harmonize the living, and restore it to its natural state of equilibrium.
Ayurveda describes how the “living body is only a microcosm of the macrocosm that is nature” and all elements that exist in the latter are reflected in the living body. This close interaction with nature forms the basis for the Ayurveda thought process and is the foundation, on which all the theories, principles, classifications etc., are built.
Studying Ayurveda is to learn, this interaction between the Nature and Man, which calls for a deep understanding of both. An Ayurveda practitioner must be one who should understand this unique connection and help a person to bring back this harmony.
Krishnakumarji was passionate about “creating Ayurveda experts” who have truly imbibed this spirit of Ayurveda; and who are LIVING Ayurveda, not just practising Ayurveda.
In this vision in mind, Krishnakumarji initiated a series of Ayurveda courses and training programs. He initiated the academic activities at AHET Saranya Campus, in the year 2017, with the Karmaprakashini series of Webinars, which shed lights on the procedural aspects of Ayurveda.
