Ayurveda Conversations is an annual week-long event organized around Ayurveda Day to foster critical reflection and dialogue on classical Ayurvedic knowledge. Featuring panel discussions with eminent scholars, practitioners, teachers, and students, the conversations delve into key Siddhantas (principles), clinical applications, and contemporary relevance. Since 2022, the event has become a vibrant platform that brings together voices across generations and traditions of Ayurveda, encouraging open inquiry, mentorship, and academic collaboration.
Held every September at Saranya Ayurveda Hospital, the initiative aims to reinvigorate the Ayurvedic academic and clinical landscape, honoring the vision of Padma Shri P.R. Krishnakumar ji.
Karmaprakashini is a unique residential mentorship and orientation program conducted annually at Saranya Ayurveda Hospital for newly graduated BAMS doctors. Rooted in the Gurukula tradition, the program blends experiential learning with classical knowledge and clinical exposure.
Guided by experienced Ayurveda practitioners and scholars, the participants engage in karma (service), adhyayana (study), and satsanga (dialogue), fostering inner clarity, professional confidence, and commitment to Ayurvedic values. The program reflects the legacy of seva, shraddha, and sadhana envisioned by Padma Shri P.R. Krishnakumar ji, and continues to inspire young Ayurveda doctors to pursue a life rooted in service and integrity.
As part of AHET’s commitment to nurturing clinical acumen in young Ayurvedic professionals, three events were held on Nadi Pareeksha, under the Ashtasthana Pareeksha series. They were held at Saranya Ayurveda Hospital under the guidance of Vaidya Vasant Lad, world-renowned Ayurvedic teacher and clinician.
This immersive series offered in-depth insights into classical Ayurvedic diagnostic methods, focusing especially on the pulse as a subtle yet profound tool for assessing doshic imbalances. Participants, including interns and recent graduates, engaged in experiential learning through live demonstrations, patient interactions, and guided practice.
The sessions bridged textual knowledge with practical wisdom, reinforcing the foundational importance of darshana, sparshana, and prashna in clinical Ayurveda.
A collaborative workshop titled “Ayu Gotra” was organized at Saranya Campus, Navakkarai, in association with AVP Research Foundation and AVCRI. The workshop focused on the diagnosis and Ayurvedic management of PCOS and female infertility, two of the most pressing challenges in women’s health today.
Experts shared insights into yoni vyapad, artava dushti, and garbha sambhava samagri from classical texts, integrated with contemporary case studies and clinical protocols. The event provided a valuable platform for young doctors and students to deepen their understanding of Stree Roga and Prasooti Tantra through both theory and hands-on case discussions
A focused clinical training program on Panchakarma procedures was conducted at Saranya Ayurveda Hospital for Ayurveda doctors. The program aimed to strengthen practical skills in classical Ayurvedic detoxification therapies, including Basti, Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, and Raktamokshana, with emphasis on patient assessment, indications, contraindications, and procedural precision.
The sessions included live demonstrations, patient case reviews, and Q&A with experienced Panchakarma physicians, enabling participants to gain confidence in delivering safe and effective Panchakarma treatments in diverse clinical settings.
A 6-day residential learning retreat centered on the Charaka Samhita, designed for UG/PG Ayurveda students and educators. The program was conducted in collaboration with Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, and brought together 50 participants from across India. Sessions focused on deep study, recitation, and reflective dialogue on key Sutras and Siddhantas from Charaka Samhita, mentored by experienced scholars.
The immersive environment encouraged both intellectual exploration and spiritual engagement, staying true to the gurukula spirit of Ayurveda learning.
